GeneaSearch was created by Banai Lynn Feldstein to replace an earlier, simpler search engine created for the Jewish Genealogy Indexing and Research Collective.
This improved search was soon put to use for Czernowitz records that had been indexed for several years, a project lead by Daniel Horowitz.
